Boat access and retrieval from about half tide upwards on most occasions depending on tide heights at the time. Smaller boats are better suited to the Broadwater Estuary and waterways to allow for low water sand bars and flats….. perfect for those love fishing for flathead, or whiting on the incoming tide. The protected waterways of the Broadwater are perfect for those who prefer to fish by kayak or canoe. Some great fish have been caught at the estuary mouth and along the mangrove lined creeks. The higher tide times will give you access to areas further into the creek channels for those chasing the elusive Mangrove Jack. There are plenty to be found if you’re good enough to outsmart them!!
Beach fishing is also on offer. Certainly fun when the Tailor or Whiting are running!! Our estuary is home to many species including; Mangrove Jack, Flathead, Whiting, Bream, Grunter, Jew, Queen & Barramundi.
Crab cooking facilities are available near the Boat Ramp. Bait is available onsite at the office.
